Don't worry my friends. He is alive and well, and....MARRIED yes he is!!! Here is an update straight from Kris himself. What an exciting career...
"Okay, you asked for an update so I will briefly go back to the last time we saw each other.I deployed to Iraq soon after I saw everyone in NC from March 2005 to March 2006. My unit was literally at the end of the world in NW Iraq in a city called Tal'Afar, located west of Mosul. I have stories upon stories, some funny, some sad, some scary, others unbelievable. I had a few close calls, but was careful and took care of my soldiers. In August of 2005, Michele and I got married (eloped) in Estes Park, CO in the Rocky Mountains. It was just the two of us and we had a great time. I returned to Iraq and finished my tour and she remained in nursing school. I returned to CO, but then moved to Fort Knox, KY to attend the Captains Career Course and then the Cavalry Leaders Course. Once I completed those schools, Michele graduated nursing school, and we flew to Honolulu on 1 May. I am working at the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command whose mission is to locate the remains of servicemembers missing from our past wars and conflicts. I will be leaving for Laos in three weeks and will probably go to Cambodia, Vietnam, and elsewhere by the years end. Michele is working as a nurse in Honolulu, but is looking for a position closer to where we live. We are currently living in a newer area, just north of Pearl Harbor. "
