Excited YOUTH Reaching Out to the World

2008 is just around the corner and big things are happening with the Wakefield Youth! Soon a new Youth Pastor will be put in place and at this moment, preparations are being made for the very first ever WAKEFIELD YOUTH MISSION TOUR! With God's guidance, Mike & I have laid out an initial plan to help ready these young people for the mission field. We cannot do all of this on our own. Many adults have already stepped up to help make this venture possible. We are thankful for all who have shown an interest in this missional project!!! This Mission Tour will take them to Hazleton, PA from July 19th-July 26th. Pray for us and all the adults who will further this cause and especially for the youth group itself. Being inwardly equipped -biblically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally for such a trip is extremely important!! Being outwardly equipped is also important, because that is what the lost will first see as efforts are made to reach out to them!!!

The tool planned to equip our youth for such an outreach and evangelical ministry are PUPPETS!!!
That's right!! Puppet practice began and will continue on Wednesday nights during youth. A biblical study of missions will begin our night and Puppet practice for the last 30 minutes!! Our plans are to work hard and practice with this ministry, not solely to impact Pennsylvania, but to also make a difference across Wake Forest as well!!
The Name of the Group is we will be known as "Puppets of Praise"
motivated by Psalm 150!!!
We pray this will become a vital ministry
within our church and community!!
"Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,

praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD." Psalm150
Special thanks goes out to Danny Barley, Bryan Shaw & Pastor Marcus Campbell from my home church in High Point, NC. Conrad Memorial Baptist Church was a huge part of my upbringing and the reason in which I desire the youth of this day to be blessed in the same way I was as a youth!! They have graciously allowed our youth to borrow a portion of their puppets as we begin a ministry of our own. We praise God for their generous resource and I pray we can thank them in a special way one day!!!
This is an exciting time and we look forward to seeing how the Lord will bless the Youth Group and the community they impact with their service.

-Thanks to Bryce Hoover from Hoovmedia
for the puppet band illustration and also for his
constant encouragement and love for this ministry.
